[OSList] Warm Data Labs - Nora Bateson

Hi

Contexts:  This WDL is 5 weekly online sessions. 

Last week the overall invitation was “What’s Happening?”  It was apparent that our shared ‘covid world’ experience was obvious and connecting.  

Yesterday the question was “What’s essential?”

In this iteration of WDL, each breakout group is presented with a triad of big picture notions, eg “Family, Technology, Economics”.  So huge for 25 mins, that it was almost incidental.  Caring and considered sharing happened.

I look forward to debriefing with my friend, one of the organisers, about how and why the stimulus questions or provocations were chosen.

I hear you Michael.  Why bother?  That’s why to participate I had to suspend my dis-belief.  I’ll evaluate it with more rigour after the 5 sessions.  What will I learn and understood differently?  What is the pace of WDL in the world of open spaces.

So, really appreciat the interest and gentle tussle by open-spacers.  Thank you all J

Certainly the Law is being used. 

The Principles that help us with detachment may not need to be raised, because there are no topic convenors to get attached to their topics and who comes to them. All the topics (contexts) are chosen by the facilitator in advance.
