Hello Daniel,
IHO Open Space Technology is an eclectic and smart mix of traditional wisdom (circle, principles, talking stick)  with modern facilitation techniques (rule of two feet, bees and butterflies, agenda, breakout sessions) that allows self-organization emerge in human gatherings.
