Dear, Michael!

Just returned from unplugged state of being.

What an extended answer :) Thank you for your time and effort!
As with Lisa's answer (I will than her separately as well) I can see how
much experience matters in OS (as probably everywhere).
Ill try to formulate my associations and lesson as follows.

It is (more) about your and my experience as facilitator and less about
right and wrong ways of being/doing.

1. I am not a fan of football (soccer) and did not follow it on TV (except
Brazil and Chile when visiting a friend and not following the TV was almost
impossible). And I see here an invitation to go through the concept of
responsibility in near future. Coming from culture with protestant
background it is a topic of many "self evidences" (hope my English is
understandable here) for me.
2. In my case the planning was probably too short and too planar. I am
sure, many of the clients needs were not spoken out. The permanent hurry
..., not enough time planned for prework. I'll take the idea of "slow
pre-work" for future. I like the idea of slow. Read some of C. Honore books
on it. And it is not easy to implement *the slow* inside current
organisational culture. Especially the inviting would have been better done
(I got the idea of personally inviting people from Mikk in 2 weeks before
the actual OS gathering).
3. I like the idea: "... it reduces the space for participants to do what
they are able to do and robs them of the experience of being able to
actually take things into their own hands". And somehow seeing the
potential of OS I am often sad about how much of it is left unused (the
graphics, music, performing ...). So I will give some more chances to
Graphic Facilitator (if client will not oppose the idea).

The mind-mapping thing. " I "taught" it all our kids during their school
days several decades ago". When I discovered mind-mapping and tried to
introduce it (impressed by it's possibilities and being in state of great
passion about it), she (in her 4th grade) said that they are using it at
school often :)

Greetings for singing Estonia <http://2014.laulupidu.ee/en/>!

Arno
