Dear Phelim and All participants of OSList,
I would perhaps add the anecdote from Harrison on the story of the genesis of OS... In essence: how come coffee breaks tend to be the most effective times of a conference/ business meeting? That is why participants are invited to interact with one another in a not so mainstream way/differently in OS.
