Do
you work
with groups, organizations, or communities? Do you want to engage
people to create wildly successful meetings which produce action,
change, and transformation? Do you want to get to the real issues
quickly and effectively? Do you want to explore a process that is
built to address the complex and challenging issues of our times?
Open Space Technology
supports human enterprises to grow and thrive in our increasingly
chaotic and changing world. Please join us in learning more about
this revolutionary process.
What
is Open Space Technology (OST)?
OST is a very simple,
effective, holistic, and low-cost way of conducting meetings,
conferences, forums, and other learning processes for groups of 10 to
1000 or more in size, from 4 hours to several days in length.
Over
the past 20 years, OST has been used in 124 countries, hundreds of
thousands of times, and for many different purposes such as strategic
planning, new product development, reconciliation, and as a highly
productive alternative to training.
OST
helpsorganizations and communities rediscover their strengths, especially
in highly complex, critical, and ostensibly hopeless situations.
This
technology is a practical means of working with the resources,
knowledge, and wisdom which already exists in a group.
Time
and again participants remark that,
when compared with other types of meetings or conferences, greater
results are achieved in less time and in an atmosphere of high
learning and high play.

Who
is this workshop for?
This
learning workshop is for community activists, facilitators, leaders,
and other nonprofit, business, and government professionals who have
a passionate interest in creating and sustaining organizations,
workplaces, and communities that workand inspire!

What
will you learn in this workshop?
You
will develop your own understanding of Open Space Technology,
including its form and essence. The
workshop will also cover preparatory work with a sponsor prior to an
OST meeting and post-meeting follow-up. We will also cover personal
preparation as a facilitator and the role of OST in helping
organizations achieve and sustain organizational health and balance.
