Peggy, I love how you explained your observations and experiments and  
adaptations over time *for the particular culture you were working  
with* and I also love that we can never assume that academics or  
financial departments or police persons or engineers are always going  
to need extra / adaptations / 'help'.

I know that some groups and cultures seem a little harder to work with  
in dialogue / non-linear / participatory processes but I have also  
made the mistake of assuming they were that way and have laughed at  
myself afterwards for my cultural assumptions - when the next similar  
group I work with acts completely differently.

Either way - I find it always works when the task / reason / theme is  
meaningful to the group.

I love facilitating these participant-driven dialogue methods because  
I can learn so much by shutting up ;o) and being amazed and later - by  
reading their Books of Proceedings to learn what they are passionate  
about...
