Dear OS List folks;

The WOSonOS world wide call took place on October 29, 2007 and was the
5th such international telephone conversation among contacts from Open
Space Institutes and Groups. There were 14 participants from 9
countries that spanned the globe.

The primary topic of conversation was the situation and role of the
Access Queen. Lisa Heft is personally providing this service to Open
Spacers from around the world who have difficulty getting access to
World Wide OSonOS events. She is a channel for limited funds (mostly
pocket money) and a personal support to those who want advice on travel.
In this role, she is not directly accountable to OSI USA but she is on
the board and they will pass on donations to her work.

As the OS List is aware, Lisa is also coordinating the next WOSonOS in
San Francisco. The group discussed further ways to support this event.
Lisa is looking for "corporate" financial sponsors.

Taipei was proposed in Kyiv as the 2009 event and the decision will be
made in San Francisco. Taiwan will have a strong contingent in San
Francisco to make their case for 2009. A number of European options are
being proposed for 2010 (with Berlin being an active one) and an
international OD event is being planned for Hungary that same year and
wants to connect to the Open Space community.

The seminal and juicy French Language OSonOS held in Quebec was
acknowledged and praised as an example of an exciting development in the
worldwide community of Open Space colleagues.

The full notes of the meeting and a great description of the Access
Queen story and role are available on our wiki site :
