FW: angry feedback

Harrison, you, of course, have a right to think exactly what you think. It
is lovely, the things you wrote here.

I, in my turn, have a right to think what I think.

I got unsolicited spam from the OSonOS Kiev people, inviting me to their
conference. I wanted to know where they got my email and why they were
using it without my permission. Herer in America, it is typical for people
to get my permission before they use my email. Who gave it to the Kiev
folks?

When I got their spam invitation, it reminded me of the stories I have heard
(I wasn't in Moscow, folks, but I heard lots of stories about the tensions
there. . . . I am not the only person thinking the things I wrote because,
hey, I wasn't in Moscow, I am in California. . . . but I heard a version of
how OSonOS landed in Kiev. Is Yana angry at me for being angry or is she
upset because it had not joccurred to her that gossip flies all around the
world? Is she upset because not so many people are signing up for Kiev and
gee, maybe some folks feel the way I feel?

I agree with you, Harriosn, that folks can have OSonOS anywhere/when/how/why
they wish.

And, over here in Mountain View, California, I can say and think and feel
and be any way I wish. If I were organizing an international conference in
California and someone in Kiev wrote my letter to me, I would be grateful
for the data. I never suggested, in my PRIVATE letter, that my thoughts
were the community's thoughts, which is one reason why my letter was
private, by the way. My thoughts are my thoughts and where I come from, I
still get to have my private thoughts.

I think Yana was upset and s/he (I am sorry, I don't know if that is a male
or female name) posted my private email to the list when s/he was upset and
reactive.

But I stand by my thoughts. I get to be me, folks. If you read my private
letter, which no one on the list actually had a right to, um, read, I think
you will see that my comments are grounded in 'I' statements. . . . . what
kind of world do you want to live in? In one where people will talk about
you behind your back but not tell you what they are thinking?
