Justin--

Reminds me of an extended project I did with community work groups who were 
to develop recommendations for county land-use regulations.   The process was 
not what I would have chosen myself--I had been recruited when another 
consultant had left under pressure partway through the series of meetings.   And given 
the subject and the diversity of the work groups, the meetings were 
contentious.   But we did accomplish what we were charged with doing.

In our closing circle with the combined work groups, one woman stood and 
said,   "This is the worst process I have ever experienced.   I don't understand 
how we have managed to accomplish as much as we did!"
