You have given me an 'aha' moment and I thank you for that.

During my university years, my roomates felt a perceived need to provide me with hug therapy. I can't remember how long it lasted but the idea was to give me at least one hug a day. I went along with it but don't think that it made much of a difference other than making me feel abnormal for not being crazy about hugging people which is how I still feel today.

I have talked about this *perceived issue* of mine with others.  In doing so, I explain, with a smile, that I find hugs with the majority of my fellow human beings suffocating. At 5 foot 1.5 inches ie. below average height, my face usually ends up in my huggers chest leaving me with little air to breathe. While there is truth in that, your comments have made me think more deeply about why it is that I don't like to be touched a lot. I have never before explored the idea that I could be a tuning fork for energy, as Lisa puts it, and am looking forward to digging a bit deeper at the possibility.
