Yes Harrison,
It certainly comes with the territory, since you as the consultant have
chosen to serve the organization, not the individuals that comprise the
organization. Those individuals who are "mature" enough to sense
the "manipulation" have the choice to be or not to be "manipulated" (and
there is nothing wrong with choosing to be "manipulated"). Those who do
not have that maturity, may feel resentful - at some time in the future.
