Some questions about an OS event

Wanted to share a project by one of my OS participants who had major
breakthroughs:

Tech Support: Tech support, how may I help you?

Customer: Well, after much consideration of the available programs,
including cost, return on investment, and accuracy, I've decided to
install love. Can you guide me though the process?

Tech Support: Yes. I can help you. Are you ready now with your system
on, powered, and connected?

Customer: System's on, plugged in, and connected, but be easy on me,
I'm not very technical. What do I do first?

Tech Support: No problem. The first step is to open your heart. Have you
located your heart?

Customer: My heart? I called you for tech support, not a psychology
session.

Tech Support: Everything comes from the heart-all this technology just
gets in the way. Please locate your heart on your desktop. Do you have
it?

Customer: Yes, but there are several other programs running now. Is it
okay to download love while they are running, or should I close
everything
and allow all system resources to be available for the installation?

Tech Support: What programs are running?

Customer: Let's see, I have Past Hurt, Perfectionism, Command &
Control, Low Self-esteem, Grudge and Resentment running right now.

Tech Support: No problem, love will gradually erase Past Hurt from your
current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory, but it
will no longer disrupt other programs. Love will eventually override Low
Self-esteem with a module of its own called Child of God. However, you
better go ahead and completely remove Grudge and Resentment from the
system. Those programs prevent love from being properly installed. Do
you know
how to remove this software from your system?

Customer: No, I tried doing that before I called, but couldn't figure it
out. Where do I start?

Tech Support: No problem. Go to the Start Menu and click on the Control
Panel, then Users, and finally Forgiveness. Do this as many times as
necessary until Grudge and Resentment have been completely erased. Then
repeat the process by selecting other users until not a single byte
remains.

Customer: Okay. This could take a few minutes.

Tech Support: No problem, I'll wait.

Customer: Done. The download utility for love has auto started. Is that
normal?

Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the trial version.
You have to connect to other hearts in order to qualify for the
upgrades.

Customer: Oops! I have an error message already. It says, "Error-Line
2327: Program Will Not Run on External Components." Process aborted.
That
can't be good.

Tech Support: Don't worry. It means that love is set up to run on the
internal heart, but has not yet been installed on your heart. In
non-technical terms, it simply means you have to love yourself before
you can love others.

Customer: The technical part is looking easier than the non-technical
part. Maybe calling tech support wasn't such a great idea.

Tech Support: Are you with me? Hang in there. Pull down Self-Acceptance;
then click on the following files: Forgive-Self; Realize Your Worth; and
Acknowledge Your Limitations.

Customer: (LONG pause, with tears and gnashing of teeth in the
background.) Okay, done.

Tech Support: Now, copy them to the "My Heart" directory. The system
will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty
programming.
Also, we'll have to delete Verbose Self-criticism from all directories
and
empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely gone and never
comes
back.

Customer: Got it. Hey! My heart is filling up with new files. Smile is
playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves
all over My Heart. Is this normal?

Tech Support: Sometimes. For other systems it can take a while, and you
will come across virus-infested files that will try to wipe everything
out,
but I'll send you these directions by e-mail so you can repeat them as
necessary. The same buttons are always on your screen, even if you have
to close a few programs to see them.

Tech Support: Now this one is usually hard for people to find. Click
Start, Search, and put in Assume the Best. Got it? Now hit enter. It
will take
a few minutes, but you will get a list of the available files. Choose
the
BEST option for your system's user, and double click to add it to your
Start
Menu.

Customer: Okay, I clicked it. Now what?

Tech Support: Now you have to give that program time to run before any
other sequence. It has to be part of the boot record each time your
system
starts.

Customer: So, is that it? I just reboot and keep going? No downtime? No
system recovery?

Tech Support: No need for that, love has been downloaded, installed,
and is running. But there is one more thing before we hang up. If you
try to
run this system like a robot, you'll only have half a system.

Customer: What do you mean by that?

Tech Support: We're here to assist you 24/7, but keep in mind that an
internal error message gives you the opportunity to create a
solution-don't panic. An error message from external users gives you the
opportunity to
improve your system and the network between the hearts. I'll include
some information about how love will allow people to be people. The My
Heart
program on your system had no room for your mistakes or the mistakes of
others. That Perfectionism program latched right on the Command &
Control you downloaded from who-knows-where and had just about wiped out
your
entire hard drive. Look at the performance charts in the User area of
the
control panel-I've never seen such stress on hearts-those numbers were
off the
charts. Let me see. Yes, here it is, I'm attaching that information to
an e-mail now.

Customer: So, we're finished? Now I just run everything by opening love
first, and it will work out?

Tech Support: That's what The Book says.

Customer: Thanks for your help. Is it all right if I put you in speed
dial?

Diane:

You have some great questions there and it's great to have gotten folks
to respond. I encourage you to also to back to your client later and
follow-up with the questions in our global research initiative.

To get the context information and simple questions go to the wiki web
site where the research project is described
http://www.openspaceworld.org/network/wiki.cgi?OpenSpaceResearch . The
questions are also listed below. We are trying to get many responses
from many sectors to the same questions - the context answered by the
facilitator and the description answered by the
sponsor/client/participant.

Thanks.
