single day planning

Dear Wendy

We mostly do one day events and time restrictions always are a
problem for action planning.

Here are two possible options that work for us:

1. Use the day to identify issues, propose actions and vote
priorities, but allow participants to sign-up at the end of the event
to work on implementing priorities through action planning at a later
meeting convened by the sponsor. A follow-up meeting might involve a
steering group to deal with some or all the priorities or break into
groups with volunteer leaders forming teams on specific priorities.

2. Devote the morning to identifying issues, proposing actions and
voting priorities and invite convenors to "adopt" priorities in the
afternoon and form action teams to outline the way forward. Action
teams can continue to work independently on their outline plans,
reporting progress to the sponsor and other teams.

You might find it useful to create a uniform template for all the
outline action plans.

Hope things work for the Hospice Society. With your help, they will
find a way to find a future of their choosing.

Cheers

Kerry
