Does it usually happen as "one" issue?  Or do things pile up?

How can that "significant emotional event" be detected/diagnosed or
maybe even made to happen (as much as perception can be changed without
changing the picture)?

I'm seeing that right now btw - there's this "the end of oil" issue,
and apparently an International Agency has spat a set of recomendations
on how to save oil urgently - this is making the "I told you" people
(those who've been warning about peak-oil for ages, and doing little
else) to be sensitive to the "let's self-organise around solutions"
meme.

I'll keep an ear up ... and I also appreciate your insights about this
"how best make use of oportunities" issue.
