Hi Eva,

I was wondering if everything was ok with you and your family...i am happy to hear from you.

You are saying " ..but maybe we can this time?"...my feeling is that we don't have any option;
other than "learning to get together, cooperate and act faster"

After the earthquake we had in Turkey few years ago, we discovered the power of "civil society" in
the world.....that is my hope now.

be well,
Funda

  Hello Funda!

  I do really think that what you are wishing for is just taking place, people in Sweden is standing in lines to give money to different organizations for help, tonight there are two fund raising programs on TV, all over the country the local authorities are alert to take care of the victims and relatives, and so on.

  But on the contrary I also think that it is kind of a tragedy that it takes a tragedy for people to come together. But maybe we can this time?

  All the best for you and to all of you dear list members for the coming year

  Big hug

  Eva

  Here is the world i imagine for the new year :

  When there is a tragedy somewhere in the world....we should see and feel it as it is happening right in our house, affecting

  our family, our loved ones......so we should be ready to go there and help.....our priority should be to solve that, to help those who suffer (humans, animals,

  nature etc)

  We should be ready to get organized quickly for that....this organization means....financial support, man power...shortly taking care of everything that

  needs to be done, solved, etc.

  I imagine that we should be ready to use all our resources; time, education, knowledge, money......leaving our job, our family, our

  responsibilities at home for sometime....... and go there....or invite those people at our homes...for exemple; we can invite children

  at our homes so that they are less affected by the tragedy.

  It sounds difficult right now but imagine millions of people doing that helping each other as a team...then that could be so easy...

  Subject: An ending..and a beginning

  While much happened during 2004, the disaster around the Indian Ocean is the one that defines its ending. This morning, I received a message of hope from a friend that I wanted to share with you all.

  I am deeply saddened and shocked at the incredible devastation in Southeast Asia from the recent tsunami. Like many others, I have donated money and have prayed, and felt compassion for the suffering and loss that so many have experienced. Tonight, when I was visiting the website for the movie "What the Bleep do we Know?" I found a call for prayer that uplifted me and gave me a sense of hope.

  Some of us are familiar with the research of Masaru Emoto. Peter Senge has used his photos of water crystals in many presentations on spirituality in the workplace, to show the power of words, thought, and consciousness. If you don't know about Emoto's work, I encourage you to learn more.

  Masaru Emoto has written a beautiful request for a prayer of love to the Indian Ocean Rim countries. You can find it at

  http://www.whatthebleep.com/releases/?item=tsunami1

  There is so much work to be done in the world at this time. We are all needed, and every little thing we do makes a difference. May the coming year be a year where we all more deeply fulfill our callings, and learn to be even more loving and compassionate.

  =======================================================

                 Prayers can limit the secondary disaster.

                       To everyone in the world,

    let us offer a prayer of love to the Indian Ocean rim countries!!

          President of the Project of Love and Thanks to Water

  With my best wishes for a happy and prosperous 2005 to all of you and your loved ones

  And best wishes to the community on this listserv

  With love and prayers
