We did three events with 158 parents and teachers in Glasgow,
Aberdeen and Edinburgh for the Scottish Executive's Education
Department around the new formative assessment programme (please see
the dedicated education wiki wiki site at

If you have not already identified the audience, any dialogue with
parents ought to include teachers and pupils to get the whole system
in one room.  Once the right audience is there, they will decide what
mechanisms will be most effective to continue parental involvement.
Maybe you should include this challenge in the theme?
