Dear friends
Thanks for sharing in this rich discussion about silence. As many of you
have pointed out I also find silence to be an important part of OST and
other means of facilitation I do. Just as Harrison pointed out when the
introduction I find the silence to be powerful and every time it ends in a
different way, comes again, goes away and comes again.

Most of the times I am perfectly comfortable in the silence for example at
evening news. At times I have a hard time to relax from "fear" that
participants feel preasure to speak. I think I get this feeling more often
in a small group. Silence is so rare and many people are not used to it
nowadays, I think. I think the way we invite the participants to speak is
important and maybe also an invitation to stay in silence for a while could
help. I will try the latter next time.
Warmest regards from a snowy Sweden
Thomas
