If someone has a good resource on the use of humor in work, I would love to
hear about it. I took a workshop once titled "Humor as Akido." What I was
hoping was to hear more about using intentionally something that I sometimes see
happen--that the tension in a group brings up a wonderfully appropriate use of
humor, and the humor releases and partially resolves the tension. In
somewhat the same way that an akido practitioner uses the opponent's energy to
protect himself from a blow or fall from that opponent.

But the workshop was only about telling jokes in a workshop setting. And
what I wanted to know was how to create an original joke which is exquisitely
appropriate to what is going on in the group at that moment, with the intension
of healing, not only making people laugh. So I am still looking.

I'm glad to find someone else interested in the intentional use of humor and
laughter.
