This is a nice question, Chris. At the first sight i found myself understanding it as my self-critic should be stronger in order to do a good job and was a bit uncomfortable with the idea. But then i realized you mean it just the other way round.

To have this explicit is really helpful for me. Thank you!

Yes and yes and yes. And again: The more fun i have the better for the client as well.
I want to expand my capability to use humor in work (and everywhere) more intentional. And i would like to learn more about it. Does anybody have experiences with workshops, books or whatever? I very much like the idea of paradox intervention, too (which i first got to know by reading Watzlawick - anybody who knows if or were it is possible to see or hear him?).

I am playing with the question if being humorous is not the opposite of being serious? Some days ago a very dear friend of mine told me a possible answer to the question why angels can fly: Because they don't take themselves to serious.
I agree and I don't: I like and enjoy being serious. And i know there is this small edge where humor is lightening (what a beautiful double meaning of the word "light"!) things without becoming superficial and where i can have fun and laugh and stay serious at the same time. To me it's something about being serious without becoming pathetic or dramatic. And using humor to connect instead of using it to hide or to keep away.

What do you think, all you lurkers, convenors, bumblebees and butterflies?
