when i followed this process, in a shortened form, at the end of an
evening+oneday event, i found that the last piece, the nuts/immediate
next steps piece *was* an actual return to the so-called 'real' world,
real work and that i could disappear then just as easily as i can after
the initial opening, when the people go to the wall and start their
first sessions. in this non-converging process, i found that all i
needed to say at the end is to remind them that they were already back
to doing the real work and still working in the spirit of open space.
then i just invited them to continue in that spirit/practice as long as
they cared to.

Michael, I think the last portion of your mNemonic, NNNN, i.e., N^4
(News, Now, Next, Nuts and bolts) was beautifully symbolized in
Fairbanks as a return to the surrounding environment ("real world") in
the closing Chris lead where he invited all of us to turn outward.

It was a interesting sensation for me, standing there with everyone else
in a circle at the closing of "Becoming a Peacemaker 1," shoulder to
shoulder, our backs oriented toward the center and not a single face in
front of me. For me, it evoked a larger sense of iNtegrity, balancing
looking outward with all that time preceding largely oriented inward.

GriNs,

Dan

hi, audrey,
glad to hear from you.

for me it is the training within openspace-principles
in everyday-life alldaylong. its a hard work.
for example never to speak about open space
but to practice it in every moment.
for example to agree to a break whenever it appears.

that´s the best preparation for to facilitate a large group
and for to move in companionship with a client.

instead of coffee as well my serve a cup of tea.
