[Do you know the site of newstories at www.newstories.org that Bob Stilger
created (to give continuity to the work of Robert Theobald on "Resilient
Communities")?They have opened a Space for the sharing of messages
about the 9.11 events. And are now thinking of opening a more ambitious
Space. The wording of the "call for colaboration" I am forwording is
very OST-like - Artur]

Hi folks,

New Stories, Big Mind Media, the Whidbey Institute, and others are
launching an effort called CONNECT. I m looking for about 15 volunteers to
pitch in and help organize the resource site of this effort. Let me tell
you a bit about the effort, and then describe the work needed.

The tragic events of September 11 have precipitated a dangerous crisis and,
paradoxically, an opportunity for something new and unexpected to emerge.
Our positive response is called CONNECT, an online space which will link
people who seek to bring what they most value to the issues arising from
September 11, 2001. We are opening space for the engagement of multiple
patterns of making meaning from a diversity of cultures, spiritual,
intellectual, and artistic traditions.

The site will be opening soon, and I will be telling you later this week
how to access it. It will include links to high quality websites, art
work, and learning environments from around the world. In addition, there
are facilitated dialogue and conversation. In this space we will invite
people to:

* explore our assumptions and fears as well as our deepest wisdom.

* connect with each other as human beings, with the hope that our humble
explorations will help a more humane collective intelligence to emerge.

* understand the political, economic, social and spiritual forces that can
make a difference at this pivotal moment in human history.

* develop a deeper understanding of the conditions that caused the current
situation, and couple that understanding with our highest thinking,
communication and action for co-creating a better world.

Where I need help is in collecting, sorting through, organizing,
reformatting, and both archiving and foregrounding the stories, unpublished
articles, poems, news references and links, and other resources floating
out there. We ll use two excellent online tools Catalyst online conference
and Catalyst online library -- to manage our work.

I think I need a team of about 15 people who are willing to help with
this. If you have skills at organizing materials and would like to help
please let me know as soon as possible. By the way, this is a volunteer
opportunity we re doing this with practically no budget.

Thanks!

Bob
