gotta think twice or thrice before adding my two cents on this one...

i'm plenty swamped and can't always read everything when it happens.  i
try to treat it all like live conversation and use the delete key
without guilt... after all, if we were a roomful of people in open
space, i couldn't possibly hear all the conversations anyway... AND the
new web archiving feature makes it that much easier to blast away with
the delete key, knowing that i can go search for anything substantial
i've really gotta have, like a living proceedings document.  also, i
think having all of us see the thank yous and here-here's helps
encourage others to unlurk with substance that they might otherwise talk
themselves out of posting.
