Hello friends,
just a reminder of two upcoming Open Space Technology training events.

The first is coming up soon --October 12-15 just outside of Raleigh, North
Carolina. Numbers for the training have gone way down because so many people
that were signed up are now involved in hurricane relief efforts. What a
huge, huge disaster at the coast in North Carolina. Far greater than the
media is reporting. Anyhow, our event is about two hours inland. Hurricanes
don't usually come in this far AND we are having the training in a dome
house in the country. I can't wait to see what Open Space is like in a dome
house! So...there is now space for you if you are interested in attending
this training. Michael Pannwitz and Gabi Ender from Berlin will be there, as
will Rochelle England from Australia. 4 countries represented! so it should
be very rich in learning opportunities.I am leading this training from
materials I've developed and focus on the practicalities of facilitating an
open space technology meeting as well as positioning the meeting for the
organization to become an open space organization which is what I do
whenever I do an open space. There is a full description is on my website
(address below).

Also, Harrison Owen and I will be leading a training session with his
materials in the Toronto, Ontario, Canada area November 2-6. This is also
set in the countryside and we are using a converted barn. A full description
is on my website. Harrison brings the richness of his wisdom about open
space and its essence as well as the provision of the conditions for a self
organizing system. He focuses the facilitator on Expanding the Now. I
appreciated his training in 1992 and have attended as a sponsor once a year
since that time and I always learn more. I would encourage you to attend
this program. Sometimes the dynamics between Harrison's point of view and my
own make for high learning and high play. We see eye to eye on most things
but....then there are the differences. Which challenges all of our learning.

I would be grateful if you would pass word along!
