[OSList] Bar Camp?

Good Morning, everyone.

I enjoyed our conversation (below) a few months ago about unconferences &
barcamps which are examples of Open Space in the wild.

If anyone hasn't seen an unconference, here's one that I'm helping with
livestreaming video today using Qiqo:

The topic is about about "digital citizenship", helping students use
social media in educational settings.

*The main difference you'll notice from OS is that it starts off with a
presentation rather than an opening circle. That's what they just finished
and now they are moving into a panel discussion among students to set the
tone for the event.* In 30-60 minutes, they'll begin deciding the breakout
topics, similar to open space.

This unconference will be more open-spacey than others, because in addition
to livestreaming each session, anyone coming in online can create their own
breakout space. So I'm trying to help lean towards open space more than
normal.

If you're interested in this topic of "digital citizenship" for students,
please feel free to drop in. This is taking place in the UK at Bournemouth
University (and online, of course!). It is happening now through 5pm GMT /
12pm Eastern.
