[OSList] There is no such thing as open space

Someone I love said to me "Pffft. There's no such thing as open space."

I added, "Hmm. So there is no such thing as open space? only closed 
space?......opened to varying degrees?"

And she said "Yes. Yup. That's it."

Hmm. No such thing as "100% open" space... I wonder about this. I also 
wonder if you might want to comment on this idea.

Is the "no such thing as open space" idea heresy-in-fact?
