[OSList] fun collaborative app to capture open space etc.

Dear John,

What beautiful photos with a story of important work behind every picture.
Thank you for telling us how to slow them down using this new Everlapse
technology.

Reading your post, I felt even more connected having just heard an
incredible story a few weeks ago that had to do with you John, with our OS
friends in Haiti, and with Phil Michaels, a young non-profit Florida
entrepreneur. All I can say is:  "What a small world!"

A number of us were meeting at Sharon Joy Kleitsch's home for our second
"community of practice" meeting after WOSonOS. Phil had attended Lisa
Heft's training in Open Space. There he met Open Space practitioners,
Abelard, Benaja and Maxandre from Haiti who were all attending WOSonOS. He
was very happy to meet them because later in the summer, he had plans to be
in Haiti and Hong Kong for important meetings having to do with the
non-profit that he helped create: Ambrosia (Greek for “the divine food of
immortality”) Global provides aquaponics systems to public-benefit
organizations in food-insecure regions both in the United States and
internationally in countries such as Haiti. In doing so, their mission is
to alleviate food insecurity around the world.

It was Phil's first trip to Haiti.  Somehow when he arrived,  Phil ran into
some snags. It seemed the meetings might not happen. Undeterred and  with
great resolve, he decided to call his new OS friend Abelard hoping he might
be able to help. After calling 3 different numbers and not being
successful, someone gave him John Engle's cell phone. Phil had never met
John, had no clue that he was part of the OS community.  As fate would have
it, John was grocery shopping just down the road from where Phil was.
Folks, Haiti is not that tiny a place!  In no time flat, Phil was in John's
car meeting the people he had hoped to meet. Fate conspired again because
Benaja was also in the vicinity and suddenly it all became a joyous reunion
indeed. You should have heard Phil tell the story, so excited in the spirit
of having made life long friends.  A real coincidence of being at the right
place at the right time -- the stuff that often happens in Open Space.

We loved listening to Phil's story, even more so knowing how much John  had
wanted to join us at WOSonOS. A Lifetime Achievement Award from Worldblu
precluded him from being there.  So John, we're sorry you could not come
see us in Florida,  but somehow it seems that WOSonOS travelled to you!
