WOW...wow...WOW indeed! ...to borrow from Thomas Herman describing WOSonOS
2012.

A day of travel, body a bit jet-lagged and spirit still soaring from the
after glow, the emotions, the love, the intense learning, connecting,
sharing and the heartfelt hospitality of a beautiful London WOSonOS event.
A bit like a dream, I feel the lingering conversations and the
purposefulness of the work that we do and all that it invites inside us and
others.

So thank you London and thank you fellow Open Space colleagues for
entrusting us to invent and host the WOSonOS 2013 in Florida. It will be
created in the spirit of "one less thing to do", leaving lots of room for
people to join in the planning, to give and to receive as we continue to
ignite the passion within us while courageously and boldly taking
responsibility for what we care most about and where we can make the
greatest difference wherever we are in the world

*A bit of early info on the WHERE and the WHEN.*

*St. Petersburg Florida* is the place we are considering. Close to the
Tampa International Airport (about 30 minutes) and close to the Orlando
International Airport (90 minutes), St. Pete is a picturesque community
that has a unique and quiet beauty with palm trees and beaches, an inviting
downtown with cafes, restaurants, ice cream shops and boutiques, Farmers'
Market, famous museums (The Dali), a vibrant university (where we are
hoping to hold our event) and many lodging options to fit many budgets.
*
The dates we are looking at are May 16th to May 19th, 2013* after
university classes end. We did not feel that August, September or October
were an option because of Hurricane Season in Florida (unpredictable). May
is a great time of the year because of the beautiful weather and lower
pricing outside of the traditional tourist season.

Yesterday, I left the beautiful talking stick with Sharon Joy Kleitsch, a
member of our planning team, where she will be giving it a place of honor
in her home in St Petersburg. Her front balcony overlooks a beautiful
park, palm trees and the sea. It is because of Sharon Joy that I discovered
Open Space and a whole bunch more in the world of transformation, science,
system change, etc.

I have posted on our Open Space Facebook a photo of Sharon and I holding
the handsome wood-carved talking stick from Canada that has traveled many
miles and heard deep sharing in many closing circles. I have also included
the invitational piece which our team presented in London.

I close quoting a paragraph that inspired me written by *Thomas
Herman*describing something that happened in London -- something that
is so
predictable which we never tire from seeing, hearing of experiencing (thank
you!)

"Tears were almost brought to my eyes hearing the young non-OS-experienced
women lovingly embracing their first OST experience AND taking actively
part in our conversations sharing from their already deep wisdom with so
much excitement. You heightened my awareness about the importance of the
work we all do in this world - and the great need there is all over the
globe - and the simplicity - good reminder that we are all the experts and
that the persons with the least experience may be the ones who have most to
contribute. The gifts you brought were very important to me."

Much love to all and just can't wait to see you all in 2013. And
remember.... "Be prepared to be surprised! "
