[OSList] Fwd: YAY! We can have EWEB, too, for March 31 Open Space

Hi all,

I got a question from a friend, Tom Atlee, who has two spaces, about 10 minutes apart for an Open Space. My response to him follows. If you have any suggestions to add, please share on the list or directly with Tom at cii at igc.org.

may thanks,
Peggy

Tom's message:

>> I'm not sure yet how we will use this extra space or deal with logistics of a 2-location Open Space (separated by about 10 minutes walk, 3 minute bike or drive, with ample parking at both locations). I would prefer to hold the initial gathering at Campbell Senior Center if there is enough room, even if people have to stand crowded together - and to have EWEB for breakouts. But I can also imagine using computers or phones to track what people in the other location are convening, enable parallel Opening sessions and providing breakout spaces at both locations, with all session postings visible at both locations. At the very least we will need a facilitator/space holder available at the EWEB property. (Peggy: Have you ever heard of such a thing being done?)
>>
>> But at least we have a safety-valve if our 100-person space is overwhelmed with 50-100 new people.
