Hi, wonderful Jackie - It is good to hear from you and to hear of your
wonderful work and your partnership with visionary business leaders.
Last week, POSTECH’s manager in charge of planning and budgeting
requested us to propose Open Space for them. Background is as follows:
A Korean scholar from Washington University came into office as
president of POSTECH this year. He sees humanity as the central reason
why their researches are for, instead of mere lifting of their ranking
among similar universities in the world. In 2010, POSTECH was ranked
28 in the world. The manager’s willing to take a challenge (opening
the space with all member of POSTECH - students, professors,
researchers, and employees). Total members are 4,754. (Student: 1,200,
Undergraduate: 2,100, Researcher: 500, Professor: 430, employee: 450).
Participants: whoever comes is the right people.
Please help us provide them with a right proposal. Similar cases,
photos, videos, comments or any other will be highly appreciated.
A question for clarification - do you mean you are organizing one
event for 4,754 people (or whoever among that comes)? Or a series of
events over time mixing and matching and inviting all students,
undergraduates, researchers, professors and employees? The school
still has to run. So perhaps the wellness - 'body work' with the
organism / the organization - would mean regular Open Space events -
like when someone goes to the acupuncturist regularly for wellness?
Your answer and a bit more about what you feel are similar cases will
help us help you.
For example: does similar to you mean ...
- large in group size?
- with an organization that still has to keep running while a subset
representing the full system meets in Open Space, a different mix each
time?
- for specific tasks such as ...
- within a similar kind of organization?
- anything else you can share with us to help us help you hear stories
and experiences for what you need?
How exciting. And hugs from the California coast,
Lisa
