Hello OSLIST

I am curious how practitioners go about training new facilitators.

We ask potential facilitators to read Harrison's book or our Manual on
large group facilitation.

We then would brief trainees before an actual OST event we are
facilitating, have them participate in the event (if it is open and the
sponsors give permission) and afterwards answer any questions they may
have.  We also offer to shadow them when they facilitate their first event.
