[OSList] advice and courage

Hege -- the real truth is that the "shop floor folks" get it way before the
"execs." They have to talk to each other, or they would all be dead. It is
serious business, and they take it seriously. But more to the point, these
are the folks at the "pointy end of the stick" (Americanism for being at the
place where the rubber meets the road.) They do the work. They actually know
how it all comes down (or not). And they are always talking about "it." Just
sometimes "Management" doesn't bother to listen. But given the space/time,
folks of all sorts can listen and speak to each other. Just Open Space! Or
something... Magic can, and usually does, HAPPEN!

Thanks Harrison :-)
I must admit, Im afraid. Open Space is not known at all around here. They
are so used to an other way of working, more tradicional, often wih a well
known and succsessful person to have a motivation lecture ore something like
that...

I think about the open space people in London.( WOSONOS) So wice, so used to
listning, talking polite, openly and supportive to eachother. Can people,
Who`ve ben working on a ship yard all their life, make this kind of
conversations, just like that? I struggle with faith... ( They are world
leading in what they do, but this kind of thing is not what they are doing)
