Jeff -- I don't think it is about "applying the OS principles" -- they are
already in operation. That's what networking is: Self Organization. And the
"theme" is already given... something about sex, companionship, business
deals...whatever.

Two cents,

ho

Subject: [OSList] "open space principles applied to a social/business
networking mixer"

Here's a question posted by Gio to the 'Open Space Technology"
facebook page. If you have any ideas I'll post them to that page.

Does anyone have a link to a video showing or a written piece explaining how
open space principles were applied to a social/business networking mixer,
where time and space are limited (2-3 hours in a loungy setting)?

Basically, some type of event that is a hybrid between a networking mixer
and OST, with the purpose of fostering an environment where people can
quickly find others with similar passions and even start/work on projects
together during the event (to be continued at another time and place when
the event is over).

Also, what type of invitations are most effective for this type of event
(that generally does not have a specific topic/theme, other than being about
the mixing and mingling of people that belong to a similar business sector)?

Thanks! Gio
