[OSList] How to prepare to be surprised?

Hi, dear Herold,
good question, because the question contains the answer
if the question stays as an unanswerded question.
In my experience I turned the sentence
from »be prepared to be surprised«
to »be surprised to be prepared«.
It works
again and again
as surprise.
