[OSList] Planetary OST

We actually had plans to do a 4000+ OS. The site was to be the Kingdome
(sports arena) in Seattle. Subject was to be education in the Northwest,
which was (still is) a hot issue. We were rolling right along but they
demolished the structure before we could pull it off. But it was fun
thinking about. And I am not sure there really is an upward limit given the
space and technical support. Very large groups can and do effectively
self-organize on their own (surprise!) -- see Tahrir Square in Egypt.
Remember the 5th Principle! "Wherever it happens is the right place." So why
not an OS for 100,000? Why not indeed.

First of all, thanks to each of you for sharing your knowledge of OST.
Now for my questions.
1. I wonder what the practical limit is on attendance at a single OST
event. I wonder if 2000~ is the effective upper limit. I wonder if an
event with, say, 4000 people is actually practical, assuming that many
folks might like to attend.
2. I wonder -- what the largest OST event ever convened on the planet.
Thank you for your help!
