Humanity First USA has stepped up to help those impacted by the Hati
quake (financial donations) They have a proven track record for
immediate relief service with a focus on food aid, water, sanitation,
medical assistance, and emotional support.

I send also send prayers to the folks impacted by the 6.5 quake, in
Erueka (Northern California Coast), where 26,000 people were shaken
and threated by a Tsunami only four days prior to the Hati quake:

No lost lives, however lots of broken glass, and lost property.

Love,
Julie

> As you must have heard or read in the news, a 7.0 magnitude
> earthquake has wreaked havoc in the impoverished Caribbean island of
> Haiti. The earthquake struck yesterday at 5 pm EST in a highly
> populated region 17 km from the capital city of Port-au-Prince.
> Thousands are feared dead, many buildings have collapsed and the
> under-developed infrastructure has been severely damaged. The island
> has never experienced an earthquake of this intensity before and
> sadly, the death toll following this destructive event is expected
> to rise.
