Open Space & Training Needs Analysis

Good afternoon from an icy Glasgow

I've been asked to help an organisation evaluate their training / learning needs 
for 2011 and beyond.

Part of the process will involve running a series of 'focus' groups across the 
UK to support and develop initial findings from a training needs questionnaire.

The theme of the 'focus' groups will reflect on the key areas / findings 
identified from the survey and to discuss how things can be taken forward.

I feel this is an area ripe for 'Open Space' but need to present a strong case 
to the organisation.

I'd like to ask if anybody has used OS as part of training needs analysis and 
how effective the outcomes were.
