Dear Phelim,
In addition to the joy I feel seeing your name and picturing your
face, I also experience awe at the magnificient way you have opened
the space in your own work, your company's work and in the theatre
community in several countries. Another shining example of using OST
to do your work.
Love from a breezy Phoenix evening,
Christine

Hi All,
I have been a little quiet on the string lately.. however this is
because things have been very busy and exciting in relation to work
and open space. In the last week Improbable did our second two day
Open Space event for the National Theatre of Scotland. This has been
very important in the development of this young National company and
also important in its relationship to the rest of the theatre
community in Scotland. The first of these events I facilitated about
three years ago and the last one was facilitated by my Co Artistic
Director Lee Simpson. It is amazing how large a part of our company
OST now is. Our last show Panic was created using OS for rehearsals
and devising.
Tomorrow I start rehearsals for our Broadway Musical Show: "The Addams
Family" which I am co-directing with my design partner Julian Crouch.
We start with a whole day using Open Space Technology: ("Creating a
Healthy Addams Family) which thanks to the courage of the producer
was an invitation to the whole of the organisation from performers and
artists to technicians, investors, finance and production in both New
York and Chicago where we play. I'm sure this is not the first time
space has been opened on Broadway but it's probably the first time a
Broadway Musical has started with OST for the whole organisation on
the first day. Very exciting...I'll keep you posted as to how it goes!
Lots of love to you all.. it's great checking into the list and
inspiring to see what people are doing.
