Asunto: [OSLIST] Innovative Workshop in Asia: Integration of Large Scale Change and Web 2.0 starts today

For the next 6 days, I will be engaged as the lead facilitator, together
with my great colleague Chaiwat Thirapantu, in a ground breaking workshop in
Bangkok. The entire workshop will revolve around the topic of promoting
freedom and democracy in Asia, and it is sponsored by the regional hub of
Friedrich Naumann Foundation. I am excited because the workshop design is
the most innovative I have ever been involved with. We will have four
pillars that define our work:

1. Content: The content is around the topic that I have outlined before,
promoting freedom and democracy in Asia. We will have a mixture of practice
reports from local projects all over South East and East Asia (with people
coming from different countries), particularly focusing the application of
new media. This will be accompanied by an introduction to large scale change
methods such as Open Space Technology, World Café, Appreciative Inquiry and
Deep Dialogue.

2. Method and Tools: beside some classical presentation, most of the
methodologies are based on the large scale groups methods mentioned before.
That means we will teach them but also practice them, starting with an Open
Space workshop on Tuesday.

3. Documentation: we will document the entire workshop by applying social
media. Every day, we will form six documentation groups (in which
participants will rotate):
- Bloggers and Tweeters
- Photojournalists
- Video documenters
- Podcasters
- Graphical facilitators
- Chief Editorial Board
At the end of each day, we have 2 hours reserved for online documentation.
The documents can be found by using the tag fnasia for blogs, pictures,
videos, podcasts and the hashtag #fnasia on Twitter. We also use a social
network platform based on Ning. This platform is on invitation only but we
will discuss whether we will make it open to the wider public. If you want
to follow up, for the time being, just send us a request and we will open it
up for you.

4. Passion and Responsibility: We will use the Open Space Technology
principles and rely on the passion and responsibility of participants. It
will only happen if people make it happen.

I will report daily on my blog, at
http://www.change-management-blog.com

Here is the programme for Monday:

I am not sure all will find this an appropriate use of the list and to thos=
e who don't I apologize. I am desperate and need help and so am casting a w=
ide net in hopes that someone will no someone who knows someone etc. Last =
Friday two of my grandchildren were kidnapped by their noncustodial parent.=
The are on the run in the United States and now believed to be in rural s=
outhern Missouri. They are listed with the Center for Missing and Exploite=
d Children and there are kidnapping warrants out on their mother. Their mo=
ther has changed her appearance and possibly the children's appearances and=
names. The children are 6 and 9. I believe and so do the police that the=
y are being passed among people affliated with the same small evangelic chu=
rch that their mother belonged to in Cochrane=2C WI. I do not think ill of=
the people facilitating this journey. I believe they believe that the chi=
ldren are in danger from their father and his family. That would be me. =20

My request is easy I am asking people who are willing and able to see if it=
would be possible to hang the flyer prepared by the Center for Missing and=
Exploited Children on their church's bulletin board and anyplace else they=
think would be of value. I do not know where they are heading but so far =
she has been traveling south and staying in rural areas.

If you are will to hang a poster please contact me of the list patoitextile=
s at gmail.com and I will email the flyer to you that I have described. If yo=
u feel like you want more information before you want the poster you can co=
ntact the Saint Paul Police Department and talk to them about it. The case=
number is 09026500 and the children's names are Maya and Rojo Espinosa. A=
nd again my apologies for using the list in this way.

and Web 2.0 starts today

For the next 6 days, I will be engaged as the lead facilitator, together
with my great colleague Chaiwat Thirapantu, in a ground breaking workshop i=
n

We will have a mixture of practice
reports from local projects all over South East and East Asia (with people
coming from different countries), particularly focusing the application of
new media. This will be accompanied by an introduction to large scale chang=
e
methods such as Open Space Technology, World Caf=C3=83=C2=A9, Appreciative =
Inquiry and
Deep Dialogue.

If you want
to follow up, for the time being, just send us a request and we will open i=
t
up for you.

4. Passion and Responsibility: We will use the Open Space Technology
principles and rely on the passion and responsibility of participants. It
will only happen if people make it happen.

I will report daily on my blog, at
http://www.change-management-blog.com

Here is the programme for Monday:

Monday 16.02.2009

09.00-10.30 Introduction
Begin of Workshop: Knowing each other, intro to Workshops sharing
experiences, formation of working groups for online documentation of
workshops. Action planning for documentation.

SESTATE.EDU<br>Asunto: [OSLIST] Innovative Workshop in Asia: Integration of=
 Large Scale Change<br>and Web 2.0 starts today<br><br>For the next 6 days,=
I will be engaged as the lead facilitator, together<br>with my great colle=
ague Chaiwat Thirapantu, in a ground breaking workshop in<br>Bangkok. The e=
ntire workshop will revolve around the topic of promoting<br>freedom and de=
mocracy in Asia, and it is sponsored by the regional hub of<br>Friedrich Na=
umann Foundation. I am excited because the workshop design is<br>the most i=
nnovative I have ever been involved with. We will have four<br>pillars that=
define our work:<br><br>1. Content: The content is around the topic that I=
have outlined before,<br>promoting freedom and democracy in Asia. We will =
have a mixture of practice<br>reports from local projects all over South Ea=
st and East Asia (with people<br>coming from different countries),
particularly focusing the application of<br>new media. This will be accomp=
anied by an introduction to large scale change<br>methods such as Open Spac=
e Technology, World Caf=C3=83=C2=A9, Appreciative Inquiry and<br>Deep Dialo=
gue.<br><br>2. Method and Tools: beside some classical presentation, most o=
f the<br>methodologies are based on the large scale groups methods mentione=
d before.<br>That means we will teach them but also practice them, starting=
with an Open<br>Space workshop on Tuesday.<br><br>3. Documentation: we wil=
l document the entire workshop by applying social<br>media. Every day, we w=
ill form six documentation groups (in which<br>participants will rotate):<b=
r>- Bloggers and Tweeters<br>- Photojournalists<br>- Video documenters<br>-=
 Podcasters<br>- Graphical facilitators<br>- Chief Editorial Board<br>At th=
e end of each day, we have 2 hours reserved for online documentation.<br>Th=
e documents can be found by using the tag fnasia for blogs,
pictures,<br>videos, podcasts and the hashtag #fnasia on Twitter. We also =
use a social<br>network platform based on Ning. This platform is on invitat=
ion only but we<br>will discuss whether we will make it open to the wider p=
ublic. If you want<br>to follow up, for the time being, just send us a requ=
est and we will open it<br>up for you.<br><br>4. Passion and Responsibility=
: We will use the Open Space Technology<br>principles and rely on the passi=
on and responsibility of participants. It<br>will only happen if people mak=
e it happen.<br><br>I will report daily on my blog, at<br>http://www.change=
-management-blog.com<br><br>Here is the programme for Monday:<br><br>Monday=
