Carnivors, conflict and partcipation

Dear list-persons
I work with a huge competence programme concerning natural resource 
management. In a couple of weeks my colleague and I will give the first 
course for those who coordinate and process large carnivore issues at 
the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and county administrative 
boards. It is called "Local participation and conflict management in the 
management of large carnivores".
I would so much appreciate examples from other corners of the world! 
Have you done OS in this context?
