Betreff: [OSLIST] Test Message
Dear all,
Sorry for bothering you with this. I'm trying to find out with Michael, why
the list serv is not working properly - at least in my case.
Can we have 1-2-3 single responses to this message to confirm you received
it - we are not sure whether there is a particular pattern of how messages
are - or rather are not - distributed...
Sorry again and thank you!

actually, marc, the ipk part is not in your oslist registered name.
so perhaps that's part of the issue. i see that you've sent messages
earlier with that name, but perhaps they've upgraded... nah.
shouldn't be. you got confirmation and archiving. i'm getting my
email via a gmail account. i wonder if the others you asked about
getting your message all had different providers, with potentially
different spam filters? i'm a bit stumped, really. i know lists
generate mistakes, but usually more randomly than this, i think.
and here's another strange one. your subscription wasn't set up do
send the confirmation, sort of. there are three acknowledgement
options and then a fourth "special/obsolete" which is what yours was
set on. that's common, i think. and could be generating the
confirmation, just not sure what it is. anyway, i've set it so that
you receive copies of your own postings.
perhaps send a test message to the list and ask for a single response,
to the list, and we'll find out if it's getting to anybody at all out
there?

very strange, marc. somebody else had similar problem, but wasn't
getting the confirmation that you are. or the message showing up in
the archive, like i think you said before. they also had a company
name in their address, but used brackets instead of parentheses.
might you be willing to remove the "(I-P-K)" from your name and try
that? maybe that's catching in some spam filters? if you're game to
try, i'll remove the same bits from your list name and we'll see what
happens? meanwhile, i'll go check my own spam filter for your
messages. i didn't get anythnig in the normal oslist folder. thanks,
m

Dear Michael, dear Murli,
It seems that this problem is persisting. I have been sending messages to
the list severall times and none of them seems to have been distributed
properly. I sent messages on:
October 26 & 31
November 28
December 1
and today (December 3)
I know from several people on the list they didn't receive it. Yet, I always
had a confirmation (as an example, cf. below).
Any ideas? Or can I "bypass" the normal way of sending by using a web
interface to post or so?
Many thanks for any help!
Best,
-marc
