Dear Harrison
I'm mostly quiet on this list, anyway, as you know.
Just opened space for 188 members of the Waikato Diocesan Synod in New
Zealand. Went wonderfully well - they thought it was a miracle of some kind
(Catholic, of course!)
The Archbishop suspects it might be the first time in the world that an
Anglican Synod has been run in Open Space. Maybe he is right, perhaps.
Certainly, he expects it to happen a lot more in this part of the world,
given the immense success of this event.
And then - with Viv McWaters - a two and a half day Open Space training in
Melbourne for 12 potential Open Spacers.
Then a day with Brendan McKeague on his way back from (an OS event in
Tasmania) to Perth.
Not sure what is or where is next, but parish activity is just continuing to
move along well, whether I am here or not. Weddings, Baptisms, Funerals and
all other pastoral activities just keep cropping up, and a huge (AU$2m)
building program to be completed - perhaps - about Easter.
Nothing much else going on, though maybe something in Jordan in a minute and
then 2008 looks pretty active, too.
Cheers and blessings, BRIAN
