Hi, Bo, and welcome to this marvelous world Open Space community.
(Bo was at an all-day Open Space I facilitated for current and graduate
students and faculty of a university's Organization Development graduate
program - where the task was to identify what, if any, resources, structure
and process might be needed for an ongoing learning community and support
network. She is looking for examples of where Open Space has been used with
scientists and other researchers.)
I have facilitated Open Space for
Geoscientists
(researching and creating mathematical and digital models for research and
application) - researching the earth's core, waters, land, air and space -
sharing research and metadata ideas and tools, hearing about each others'
projects, puzzling together on challenges, discussing best practices
Marine and environmental scientists and educators
Sharing about education, advocacy and research in their world community,
identifying what projects would benefit from collaboration, and creating a
global network
Health researchers, policy makers, legislators and educators
Sharing what was going on in the field, noting duplication and opportunities
for resource sharing, sharing viewpoints, discussing challenges
Colleagues on the OSLIST - it may also help Bo, for the purposes of creating
this conference - if you can share any examples of using Open Space meetings
bringing together doctors and other health care practitioners and patients
(and patients' parents or family members perhaps) - to further the
exploration of patient care, medical research and best practices.
Thanks to all,
Lisa
