Subject: Living in OS...My Inquiry!

I am stepping out of my on-line retirement mode, and inviting you into a
conversation I would LOVE to have with my OST pals, far and wide. In fact,
I would like to encourage US ALL to have such a conversation with each
other!!! It is my present version of Living in OS

My question to you is: What are you doing with your one wild and precious
life?

And guess what! Here's my answer to that question!!
As Rumi says: "Beyond ideas of right and wrong, there's a field...I'll meet
you there!"

I am committed to being part of learning communities of practice, living
consciously in the "open space" of the universal intelligent field (which
some of us call God), playing in the "floating bodhisangha" (thank you,
Mark!) of radiant networking.

My inquiry is: In what ways can we manifest gift exchanges (communities of
practice) that identify, support and amplify the life force in any person,
place, or situation on the planet?? (the word "community" is derived from
the Latin "cum", meaning "together", and munus, meaning "gift"...or "gift
exchange").

This is what I am doing now, and will continue to do until I am guided
otherwise. It is alternating cycles of energy flow and energy storage
(Thank you for those lovely terms, Gabriel and Tracy!).

Re. Energy Flow:

+++++++++++++++++++
I am taking what Mark Jones says about "living in Open Space" and amending
it to reflect how I live it:
 * "Living in Open Space" means to "show-up" and "OPEN space"

+ in every interaction; it means taking responsibility for what
+ I love; it means Hearing, Seeing, and Loving myself and every
+ sentience that I encounter; it means being the conscious evolution
+ of consciousness.
+ Opening space starts with inquiry and listening.

+++++++++++++++++++

At times, I am part of gatherings coming together for inspired work and
play.

At such gatherings certain patterns appear. Here are some I have noticed:

Invite ALL: I, as host (often with other hosts), invite people to gather.
We sit in a circle (or circles) to show that all are welcome. AND maintain
an attitude of invitation throughout.
Welcome: Welcome whoever comes; remind people that we are here with unseen
beings, ancestors, Nature presences, and, all of life.
Speak/act from inner silence/listening: Invite people to listen inwardly and
participate from that listening space in whatever way each is guided.
Take responsibility for what has heart and meaning. Acting from this place
connects each individual with the field.
Hear, see, love myself and all: I invite people to hear, see and love each
other in any conversations they are drawn to, and I model that.
Inquiry opens self to the field: I ask whatever question I am guided to
(and/or that people were invited to converse about), and invite each person
to respond and introduce self to group.
"the field" guides whatever comes forward:
As each person follows what has heart and meaning: speaks, acts, sings,
plays music, draws, or offers whatever form of intelligence is guided, when
he/she deems it is optimal, the intelligent field emerges though
conversation, invitation to activity, whatever is optimal at any given
moment. Ease is the hallmark of such emergence.
"Yes" opens space: If offerings are received with "yes?" or "yes...and?",
the life force flows.
Disturbance or "no!" if received with a "yes", is an invitation to hear,
see, and love the "no" sayers until the story they are carrying is
congruently told.
To conclude: Re-member the whole circle, identify the question,
Reflect: ask for reflections in order to allow the collective to evolve
consciously (using a talking stick, if guided to do so)
Goodbye is an opening: and finally, invite any offerings to
say/sing/move/"goodbye", and open to the next possibility.

Exchange gifts: As a member of a learning community of practice, I also
invite everyone to be part of a gift exchange: I invite people to offer
their gifts to assist others if a particular activity has heart and meaning
for them, and/or identify activities where they would welcome the help of
others in the community.

To me, conversation is a communication medium of gift exchange (as are
drumming, mime, drawing, painting, mind-mapping, singing, toning, etc).

That is my period of "Energy Flow", AKA "Breathing Out".

Energy Storage:
I am also guided to be in periods of "Energy Storage" , AKA "Breathing In",
during which I am mostly alone, listening to the field, receiving
information via art, movement, reading, etc. and guided to be present with
other-than-human entities with whom I share the planet, to learn from and
listen to them.

The rhythm of "breathing in" via energy storage, and "breathing out" via
energy flow is my current practice.

What is your practice? AND what would you like to share about your being,
doing, learning???
