Visas for XIV Open Space on Open Space Moscow

Greetings Thomas and everyone else!

Yes, getting a visa on your own by taking the invitation to the
consulate yourself is much more economical. And, if you have never had
to get a visa before, and a Russian visa in particular, it requires a
little patience and care...in my opinion.

If you follow the consulate's instructions carefully, there is no
reason why you shouldn't get a visa on your first application attempt.

But, maybe others who have travelled to Russia before might share
their experience of getting a visa?

The only other charges you might expect are:

1. a surcharge from the consulate if you choose to have your visa
express-processed (in one day)

2. visa registration fee- only if you will *not* be staying in a
hotel/hostel during your stay here. We have arranged for a travel
agency to take care of visa registrations of those staying in private
homes. Again, visas must be registered within 72 hours of arrival.
Fee: 40 USD.

Hope this helps,
Raffi
