OS reports writing technology ?

Hi everybody
  
  I have been searching the list for information about a device, software  or site I could connect to, for the writing of OS reports. After an  hour - because I stumble on so many interesting posts - I give up ! Or  else I will spend days and nights reading it all.
  
  Anybody would help me ?
