continue to wonder at our 'need' to be doing something just because it has
now become the 'norm' and sometimes, for me, the point of doing something
differently is so that I can, indeed, see it differently. As a person who
is 'used' to high technology and works in a high tech environment every day,
I understand the need for an 'efficient' way of capturing information...
and... sometimes the old tried and true sayings have merit... in this case
'haste makes waste'. I like Harrison's description of distilling
information and digesting it a bit and then capturing the 'essence' or
essential pieces... and... some may argue that what is essential to one may
not be essential to another.

Perhaps an invitation could be made to 'experiment' with how we capture and
absorb information. If someone wants to sit and type in all the information
into their computers in order to capture everything that was said, then they
can be free to do so... and... you might suggest that they may miss what is
being said beyond the words captured on paper while they are so busy trying
to capture every word.

Just a few musings, from one who is given to such...
