Gibberish and silence

Ralph - I urge you to try (silence or gibberish). But knowing you for some
time, and holding your eminent self in high esteem, I have to say that
silence would be so uncharacteristic as to be unbelievable. As for the
gibberish. . .

But try as you might you will not achieve pride of place. That honor goes to
Michael Pannwitz who in fact did the full opening in complete silence. He
did have a little trouble when he got to the 4 Principles but nevertheless
kept his mouth shut - all the while pointing to the signs on the wall. I
thought that was stretching a little, but silence was maintained. Taking a
little bit from Michael's luster was the fact that his effort took place on
the final day of a three day program, and on each of the preceding days
space had been opened by a different person in their own unique way. If the
folks hadn't gotten it by that time, there might be some serious question
about mental capacity.

However - I really loved what he did. I have felt for a long time that the
opening is closer to an induction than introduction - more of a dance than a
speech. You could see all that in spades when Michael did his thing.

Phelim and all,

I'm intrigued at the idea of doing the intro in gibberish. I'm looking
forward to my first opportunity to try it!

I have believed for a long time that it is possible to do the opening in
complete silence, using only gestures, movements, and body language, but I
have never tried it. I think I could do all the parts, right now except the
four principles. These would take a bit more cleverness. Some day... Who
knows... Wahetver hppensa...
