Are we failing to connect innovations for humanity - eg 1?

Open space world people are, if I understand it correctly, passionate about
innovation especially opening up structural (networking, deep or inter-local)
ones where conflicts need overcoming before humanity can wholly connect around
the innovation's benefits in the most cut off and needy space/communities.

Ever since I foresaw there would be an internet
http://deathofdistance.blogspot.com , I have been watching how we are
connecting the emergence of commons inventions for humanity. My view is we are
getting worse and worse at this globally compared with how open the world
needs to be for the 2 billion at the bootom of the pyramid. Of coure, I am
delighted to see you link us to where I am mistaken. Equally, I am going to
volley a few examples of potentially great initiatives which I feel are not
going to sustain the connection waves they could. The conflict mission
impossible, should you wish to accept it, is to suggest how these cases can be
nudged into sustaining connections ratrher than stopping at their first
accomplishment.

Case 1 World Challenge Sponsored by BBC, Newsweek, and Shell and other world
class sponsors.

Here's where it's at as far as I can see- in fact as far as I can question one
of the people who did a lot of its researcher groundwork. What happens next is
an open question - do the original powers that be have a connecting move? if
not does our open space network with its connections with innovations and
desperate needs in 70 countries?

Dear Juhi

I see that the World Challenge sponsored primarily by BBC, Newsweek and Shell
that you worked on as a researcher has come up with a winner Coconets in
Philippines.http://www.theworldchallenge.co.uk/finalists4.html

I am keen to connect understanding of wider and more enduring motivations of
those who developed this competition stage regarding such issues as:
*sharing all commons understanding that can wave out from the winning projects

*keeping open links going between all the contributor subnetworks that
reported candiadte projects in

*what the media does next in terms of keeping breakthroughs for humanity in
the worldwide public spotlight and locally everywhere this could connect
people's desires for a better world at the bottom of the pyramid where
billions of beings have the most desperate needs

*drawing up lessons on how social innovations require different sustenance
that product launches, often being in conflict with old powers that were
profiting from the lack of commons/community in some missing sense
