OST with people with Down's Syndrome

Hi all!
I may have the opportunity to do some OST-related work with an NGO which works with people with Down Syndrome. It was started more than a decade ago by a Moscow family with a child with Down's Syndrome.

I am wondering if there has been prior experience in using OST with children and adults with significant developmental disabilities. Also, I am curious if people know of developmentally disabled adults (or children) (or adults or children with Down's Syndrome) who have facilitated an OST meeting?

I know only a little bit about the practice of people with developmental disabilities having a "facilitator," meaning a specialist who facilitates (as I understand) what the person is trying to say and translates back to the person what that person's conversation partner is saying. So, if it hasn't happened yet, I think it is totally within the realm of the possible for adults with developmental disabilities to open space with the help of a "facilitator."

My (very) initial search of the OST archives yielded some disability-related events but nothing pointing specifically to working with people with developmental disabilities.

If I had some concrete examples to go on, this would be very helpful in the initial contact with this potential client.

Thank you,
Raffi
