Turtles I

As some of you are aware, a most wonderful conference occurred under the
sponsorship of the Human Systems Dynamics Institute - It was all about
self-organizing systems. In fact it started from the heretical position that
there is no such thing as a non-self-organizing system (You will never guess
who suggested this. :-)). And it went down, up and sideways from there. If

The proceedings were obviously written by the participants - but Lisa Heft
did a super job in preparing them for publication. Thank you Lisa!!

The conference was actually filled up before it was officially announced.
Which is nice in a funny sort of way. But it also left some disappointed
people. However there will be a Turtles II with lots of space, currently
scheduled for April 1-3, 2006. Stay tuned for future announcements.

And if you are wondering what self-organization and turtles have to do with
each other, I guess you will just have to read the proceedings.
